It is slow reading in places and I think that some people, no matter what, will not like it. It is an extremely long novel, so good luck with it, because if you don't like it right now you may be in for a long week . . . . . or two.
Fransisco's money speech is pretty good IMO.
If you want to get the gist of what Rand is saying, Galt's speech (very long), towards the end of the novel, pretty much sums it up.

The Fountainhead. I actually liked it better, but it seems like people who have read them seem to like the first book they have read the best.
