This is a great thread that needed to be revived.

We, as americans, no longer pay any attention to our constitution but instead pay attention to the ever changing trends in our society. TRENDS are not the device that should drive nor regulate our country. An enormous problem within our country is the fact we ignore our own constitution and allow the federal/state governments and Judges to make laws/statutes that are in direct violation of our constitution. We should hold them all accountable on each and every side of the isle! No party nor special interest is immune to this. All are equally guilty.

If the majority really is a majority then votes need to be casts by citizens not elected officials to rape our constitution. Some ideals may go against what I believe and others for my beliefs and I am willing to accept it. What I cannot tolerate is the raping of the constitution without the peoples vote being counted and ratified.
