We are spiritual beings emersed in a human experience. The body dies but the soul, the inner witness to our wordly deeds, thoughts, and sensations lives on. We are spiritual beings in the world, but we are not of the world. It is through this world, this earth-life, that we find our true nature, our real self. Upon this spiritual birth we sense a connection to to everything and realize that there is only one thing. Ancient Native American religious practiced on making the many things one. Ancient wisdom seekers from the far east sought and found this through the use of meditation and mindfulness. You are no longer a "self" because that is separate from the whole. Wholely not separately. You lose your sense of self , an ironically, you are a new person in a new world, a Kingdom of God, compassionately seeing yourself in everyone and losing interest in passing judgements, hating, blaming... Jesus reportedly said, to find yourself you must first lose yourself, seek first the Kindgom of God, to enter the Kindom of God you must be born of the spirit.
