I wrote a paper on how i am Anti-Gay Marriage, just to see the other point of view. I realized though from research that there really is no solid argument against Gay marriage. Here is what my research paper included:
1. Leads to Polygamy
2. Harms Children
3. Ruin law of marriage
4. Society will crumble due to the homosexuals
5. It's in the Bible

I wrote a 15 page paper on this, and the whole time fought with myself to think like a Anti-Gay. It worked I got an A.
Here is my rebuttles though (they have all been shortened:
1. No it would not, like a straight couple if you've found the right person and love them and have the will to not cheat and sleep around. THen you wont, same for homosexuals. We think no different
2. WHY, may I ask? and How? (dont throw stats at me because i can give you stats on how most stats are made up XD) Children grow up in homes with one parent, and some kids grow up with both and end up fucked up. Some kids from straight parents end up gay, and some kids from gay families end up straight it is a choice. Homosexuals and Heteorsexuals are the same, everyones parenting ways are different.
3. Law of marriage is... well someone find me the laws. you all say: a union of a man and woman. But allowing Homosexuals to marry will not stop man and woman from joining.
4. Society will not crumble- why would it. Homosexuals have been around forever. Poeple think what they think and act how they want to act, how would allowing homosexuals to marry hurt society. In my opinion it would help: overpopulation of the world, the world need homosexuals to adopt. We dont add to the problem we help.
5. Ok in the bible homosexuals are mentioned. It does not directly state that they will go to hell. It states that it is frowned upon and needs forgiving, but i ask this if God is loving of all, why does it matter? In the bible it also states that everyone is an image of God, everyone loved and that is how everyone should lead their lives: love. THEN WHY THE HECK ARE CHRISTIANS DOIN THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF HIS TEACHINGS?

P.S. i gave a speech and everyone during the speech was getting really angry about what i was saying, then at the end i came out to everyone and told them that i just spoke about an issue that i belive the exact opposite in. I still have friends (even more now) and now a teacher that respects me.
