Edited to add- After reading your entire post it's obvious to me your professor cares nothing about an argument of an opposing side nearly as much as he/she cares about being on the right side of the argument. What you typed does not sound like you remotely tried to argue the other side of the issue but instead reinforce your own side.

You did not add that part when you quoted me.
We have all had professors that grade us more on the political side we chose than they did the actual quality of the assignment. To say otherwise would be lying. I was forced time and again to write what the professor wanted to hear or even a perfect paper would get a failing grade.
