Meanwhile, I can ask the same about Aussies, telling another country what they can or can't eat because of their "sensibilities" (e.g., whaling), and turning it into a sideshow.
The Chinese are their people first, and it's the same as Japan. Good, bad, ugly that's their policy for hundreds, if not thousands of years -- when Aussies didn't even exist, but came later as prisoners from the UK, displacing and discriminating the natives.
