Not at all. Nature shows that cooperation through groupings of organisms is far superior to struggle. I submit trees as a perfect example.
The second example is our body. None of us could not live without the cooperation of bacteria in our intestines that help digest our food. They are in cooperation with the larger body but not created by the body. Our organs another example...the list is endless on the human body alone....
You need to get a deeper understanding of biological systems. The survival of the fittest myth is exactly that...a myth.

Democracy as mob rule...well, a completely different subject. In India where they have the one true democracy. They DO have mob elections, yet they for so many people are doing quite well actually. Kind of blows that delusion out of the water.
