Be able to maintain highway speeds for 300-400 miles between charges.

Many areas of this country can't get enough electrical power, during the summer, now. We have "brown outs" and "black outs" every year.

No one wants a nuclear power plant near them, nor do they want a coal fired generator, so just where is all this additional electricity, to charge thousands (or millions) of electric cars going to come from?

Answer that and you will have a big part of the answer to your question.
