Relatively quick charge times...30-60 minutes? Enough time to eat and stretch a few minutes but not more than an hour.
Be comfortable to drive...AC, all that crap.

Many areas of this country can't get enough electrical power, during the summer, now. We have "brown outs" and "black outs" every year.
No one wants a nuclear power plant near them, nor do they want a coal fired generator, so just where is all this additional electricity, to charge thousands (or millions) of electric cars going to come from?
Answer that and you will have a big part of the answer to your question.
