perhaps universities would stop if someone complained. and she still hasn't been given it yet. both students and non-students alike are asking the dean to change his mind and cancel.
while outsiders don't have as much pull- a university makes money from having students pay tuition. if you upset students enough they leave and you lose money. if you upset the public enough new students start to apply to different universities.

we don't need an official language. we use english for our professional jobs and don't hire those who can't speak english when its needed (such as with pilots). but if people want to keep their language, who cares?
heck we took our language from England. its not even really 'ours'.
and back in the day they weren't allowed their language or their traditions.
perhaps men can't give birth and have a heck of easier time peeing in the upright position. but there are very few differences. and hardly any of them are non-physiological.
