Remember the part in Atlas Shrugged when Dagney Taggert has crashed in the world created by John Galt. One of the inhabitants is a woman who says all she wants to do is to be the best at raising her children and a collectivist society does not allow her to do that. So, you are absolutely correct in your assessment.
