I mean, I'm an artist first and a contractor second. The design for my home, architecturally is very simple. Its a box shape, 40ft by 20ft or so, two stories with a flat roof which doubles as a third floor. The construction is going to be simple, and take me about one month to complete myself, at which point we'll be added the aesthetics (and bullshit like air conditioning). the front wall is going to be made with a secret set of materials, the outer layer of which is similar to rock-wool, in which I will plant different colored mosses. Within another month, the entire outside of my house will be completely organic material. So, the construction is going to be easy, and the result simple. The goal is to build this home with less than 80K, including the land costs.

Do you think theres going to be a market for continued buying of single family homes or a saturated market full of single family existing homes to buy and the lack of buyers to gobble them up. They'll all be in multi-family homes, with tax breaks, to house them. Good luck. I'd be putting my efforts and money in currency exchange. Not Lumber, the amount of existing homes on the market should be an indicator of that. Build Section 42 homes. Otherwise get out and invest in something else.

This is a buyers market, perfect time to purchase land and start building a home to resell in a year or two (or even three god forbid). My parents are building some of those low income housing complexes, they want me to invest, i may. This is a brilliant investment, name another way to turn $100,000 into $1,000,000 besides this and I'll listen.
