Surely you must realize by now that there are those of us who are JUST AS PASSIONATELY for this war as you are against it. We believe in freedom, justice, and the American ideal. We believe that America is EXCEPTIONAL, not EVIL. We believe that any enemy who swears to destroy America must be defeated, even if it means resorting to the horrors of war.
It's called patriotism. It's called courage. It's called LOYALTY to one's nation.

You must understand that Iraq never swore to destroy America. Al-Qaeda was responsible for the 9/11 attacks, and the president proposed to go to war with Iraq, who had no link to the terrorist group. However, Bush gave the false impression that Iraq was partners with al-Qaeda in order to get support for a war that he has had interests in since he took office. He told the country that the threat was an al-Qaeda network trained and armed by Saddam. This link turned out to be a myth, and the White House knew it. Just think about it, Saddam would see a terrorist group such as al-Qaeda a threat to his ruling, and al-Qaeda would target Saddam if anything because he represents the kind of secular government they opposed.
President Bush and the White House were told by the CIA and European terrorism investigation teams that there were no connections between the two, but the administration ignored these reports and continued to deceive America. And as a result, we are stuck in an unnecessary war against an opponent that has not posed any kind of immediate threat to us.
