I don't know why its caused, but I do think that these people are genuine.
for some odd reason their mind and brain is generated toward one gender but physically they are a different sex.

I've watched the specials with transgendered kids. this is something that starts before most concepts of gender and sex are even known even in a vague sense- much less established. and from what I've seen, the people (children and adult alike) who begin to transition are mentally healthier than those who do not.

I have no real issue with people finding a place to be happy with who they are and have their mental concept of gender match their physical appearance of sex.
