A network of counterfeit money smugglers is discovered by the Venetian authorities. The fraudulent trade, directed at the Venice market
from Ferrara, is headed by the banker Salamoncino da Piove di Sacco and his right-hand man, Zaccaria di Isacco. The persons responsible,
both Jews and Christians, are arrested and sentenced to various penalties.
