But he didn't. He merely said it was possible. Not that it happened. But of course you missed that point.
The simple fact is that the testimony is purely out of torture, and given the circumstances of the case (a franciscan friar preaching to the town BEFORE it happened of Jews doing this, as well as changes to the account that moved the discovery of the body from outside to inside a house), this has all the tell tale signs of something that didn't happen and is more akin to witch trials than reality.
