While I do not agree with Crowley's methods, I do have to disagree with you on many aspects of the following:
US troops out of the middle east. - How much are you willing to pay for a gallon of gas? Are you prepared to have Iran control the region and have control of the oil??
Hm. Well let's see here, if there's a direct correlation between human life and the price of oil, as you put here, then I'm pretty much willing to ride a bike or pay X dollars a gallon, where X equals not having to kill other people to make my commute easier.
Iran has little control over us if we are not as dependant on oil, regardless hwo much they come to control. We can keep invading people and butchering them over the dwindling puddles that will remain on this earth, or we can fight to sever the ties alltogether and immasculate Iran through not needing to worry about whether they have all the oil or none of it.
I'm not saying its that simple of course, and we can talk more about Iran in detail later.
War Crimes - You then agree that Saddam, AchmedIamanutjob, Kim JongIl, many of the leaders in many different countries in Africa who are waging civel war and killing civilians,.... the list goes on and onand on......should be tried for war crimes??
Well let's see here... Kim Jong Il has continued his father's barbaric, godlike rule over North Korea, starvign millions upon millions each year to keep his nightmarish grip on power.
Is he really comprable to Amehdinajad who is largely a figurehead for a largely corrupt government in a country that isn't suffering from mass genocide issues?
It isn't that the US is the worst thing ever for invading Iraq...it's just that we can do so much better, and given our resources, its shameful that we don't.
War Profetering - Gee I agree with you there. Imagine that.
That's a big part of what this thread is about.
Isreal must withdraw troops from the occupied territories - I agree as long as their neighbors including IRAN stop attacking them and acknowledge there right to exist as a country. The killing on both sides must stop (extreemests on both sides)
I'm sort of in agreement with you here. But remember that the US has basically backed only ONE side in what you seem to feel is a two-sided conflict. We need to make a better faith effort to acknowledge Iran's right to exist, Palestine's right to be united, and Israel's ability to be wrong on occaison before we make high-minded claims about what everybody has to do.
Private Armies - paid contractores / mecineries same thing but they have there place. If we send additional / legitimate troops to take their place and finish the job than I agree with you. WOW twice in one thread.
Well wait, what is their place? I haven't heard any real reason to have them there at all other than protection from proper oversight on the part of any body, military or private.
You wanker
Proudly so, though I know that wasn't directed at me.
