A perfect example.
A woman had a blood disease. She had 3 blood transfusion, and was getting ready for the final and 4th one. The medical insurance called and told her they shouldn't have authorized the first three and she couldn't have the 4th, which would mean death. People got together, got it paid for, and then publicly went after the insurance who eventually paid for it.
My sister delt with my father's medical bills. He was only sick from November-May, but enough bills to give you a headache. It's amazing how much the hospital double bills, what the insurance deems payable. It's a nightmare.
