Winter returns to Minnesota, Alaska
FERGUS FALL, Minnesota -- While the eastern third of the nation enjoyed temperatures in the 70s and 80, blizzard-like conditions are hitting parts of Minnesota.
Heavy snow and high winds Friday night were reducing visibility to near zero for drivers.
The weather caused an 18 wheeler to jackknife on Interstate 94 in western Minnesota.
Other vehicles got stranded in the snow, or simply were stuck with their tires spinning.
Forecasters say up to 15 inches of snow could be on the ground by the end of Saturday thanks to a strong cold front that ushered in below normal temperatures to the area late in the week.
Meanwhile, parts of Alaska are getting hit with a heavy, late-season snow storm.
There were no signs of spring in Anchorage on Friday as nearly a foot of snow fell there. The snow was causing plenty of problems for drivers.
Another ten to 15 inches could fall before the system ends.
It's actually rare for the region to see snow this late in the season. Friday's snow set a one day record for April 25th.

Below average temperatures....Record Snowfalls.....I wonder what the average resident of Minnesota and Alaska think about the religion/hoax/money grab that is man-made global warming.
