There has been some of that, but it is not just political maneuvering. That's been a popular attitude, but it is not the entire reality.

Racism still exists in this country, and the goal should be promoting a society that is fair to all groups. No the goal should be to stop our government from promoting at all. Its not what tax dollars are meant for. We've made progress but we've still got a long way to go.
