I didn't say anything about tkaing their guns- am I for taking away guns?
I'm actually half/half. my point is that owning guns isn't limiting crime. and if you don't have a record or slip through the cracks, you can buy a gun and use it for crime if it pleases you.
the last few school shootings at universities have been done with guns bought from legal places (although the V-tech killer by law wasn't suppose to be able to buy a gun)

not true.
people owning guns doesn't limit crime. its not just illegal guns that the police are counting. there are many legal gun shops and many people who guns. we still have crime up the ass.
obviously the answer to gun problems isn't more guns. we're proof of that

You aren't going to stop guns from being sold illegally. Nobody knows where they are they are not registered. Soviet military weapons like the AK47 and Chinese SKS have been produced in such quantities over the decades since they were designed by some many foreign and domestic manufactures that they alone exceed the population of allot of countries. There are litteraly billions of those two gun type alone. So what do you want? House to house search of the entire 300 million people in America? Is that what you want? Then go work for Dick fucking cheney.
You cant not assume peopel as quilty for owning a weapon and still realiticly claim to be for a free nation.
NOw if hadfuls of people got out guns last night and went after wahta re reported as individualy no realtied shootings. Whod they go after...suspects that are not apprenheded or indentified? Lunch mobs that snatch perps from squad cars and jails?
Guns in the hands of store owners and private citsznes give the innocent victoms the opurtunity to derned themsleves. There is no logical way to refute that. Last night in Chitown sure as hell is no example of it not working.
