Among other internationally renowned persons Farrakhan also met the acclaimed anti-racialist freedom activist president Nelson Mandela of South Africa. The latter was under heavy pressure from South-African Jewish groups not to meet Farrakhan, but ignored their threats of sanctions. The two Black leaders could thus have amicable and fruitful talks on world issues.
