Big difference...you're citing a case where the parents never even went to a professional. I'm talking about being FORCED to pay for Public School, then being told the only way it will really work well is if the parents do some of the job for the teachers. Somehow the teachers DON'T have time to teach like they should, but they've got time to tinker in areas that have nothing to do with basic academic knowledge.

If you go to a doctor and you get instructions to do some of the treatments yourself, you'll be given specific instruction, not some open-ended "the more you get involved" crap. If you DO get a quack like that, you can refuse to pay and/or take your business elsewhere.

Try refusing to pay a teacher...it isn't even an OPTION, even if you do take your business elsewhere. My children have never set foot in a Public Edufactory, yet I pay just as much as the next guy, no tax breaks, no refunds, no compensation.

I get that the story you cited makes you sick of ignorant, inbred religidiots...they make me want to vomit, too...but comparing that to what I said about schools is like comparing apples and orangutans.
