The Bush v. Gore decision by the U.S. supreme? court completely destroyed the credability of that esteemed body of the U.S. government. Literally nobody holds the same regard for the court after that decision that they did before it. The supreme court, itself, knew it was throwing a hot potato when they attached a limitation onto their decision making it non-precedent setting.
