The story isn't really spreading racism...

The kind of people who are racist will see racism everywhere, regardless of whether someone else points it out.

The kind of people who aren't racist will see a story about a policeman getting murdered, and may or may not care that some of the people in the story appear to be racist.

Either way, this story isn't going to change anyone's degree of racism one way or the other. If it were that simple, the left would churn out Equality books all day long and the Right would churn out Superiority books all day long to convert the masses.

I, on the other hand, would churn out "Give Me a Dollar" books all day long.
