Passing tough on illegals laws that take away the business license of any repeat offender employer of illegals is clearly the way to go. The result in Arizona and Oklahoma was a mass exodus of illegals from those states. However, most of these illegals didn't go back to Mexico, they just moved to neighboring states. More states will have to come on board with these laws until the desired effect of self deportation of most of these illegals back to where they came from is realized. Cost to the American taxpayer? Zero. INS could then concentrate on just those criminal illegals that aren't going to self deport no matter what.
