You are on the right trail. I am not sure that tring all the employers for treason would work, but if the penalty for employing illegals was the seizure of business and personal assets the employers and slumlords renting to illegals would stop their behavior and the vast majority of illegals would return home on their own.

It was just reported on c-span this morning that a bill was before the Senate that would fund the immigration laws starting in 2009 to put some teeth behind the laws. The money is needed, because the truth is very little is spent on illegal immigration, not nearly the money that is needed to round them up and punish businesses that hire them. The law would have the immigration department reporting to Congress and funding being handed out as could be shown there was need to clean up the illegal problem.
Obama and Clinton voted against the funding. McCain never showed up for the vote.

The Three Stooges are more concerned with making a voting block out of the 20 million illegals in this country. That is why Democratics are trying to make it easy to register with a photo ID on the day of the election without proving citizenship.

I am not familiar with that, can you cite your sources. I will say that if being able to use illegals at lower wages is a requirement to keep a company then the state is better off with that company somewhere else.

In Greensboro, Nc, about 40% of the new enrollees onto welfare are Mexican nationals. Judges have decided that Nc has to pay for the education of illegals, and now the Democratics in our state keep pushing for in state tuition for illegals. It is time to take care of OUR children and not the children of illegals. It is time to remember that charity must start at home and that when the Democratics complain there is not adequate spending or schools that they are wrong. With the illegals gone there is far more than enough schools and money to educate the children of legal US citizens.
Liberal Democratic idiots would have us believe that the illegals take jobs Americans are too lazy to do, the illegals only do jobs like busboy, or cook at Denny's. The sad fact is that they are taking factory jobs, construction jobs, and even high tech computer jobs. The illegals take jobs that Americans used to do for more money and benefits, such as healthcare. Idiots like Obama talk about raising them minimum wage, but he will not address the single largest factor lowering real wages, illegal immigrants. The 63k jobs lost in Jan are only 0.5% of the jobs that Obama admits are taken by illegals.
As long as there is 1 American unemployed, as long as there is 1 American on welfare who is capable of working we do NOT need any of the illegal immigrants. Nc just finished the biggest housing boom in state history, during which there was double digit unemployment in the housing industry due to builders using illegals. Construction workers used to earn a good living, now wages are so depressed and work is so rare for American citizens that many workers have had to go to lower paying jobs with few if any benefits.
Go visit Mexico to see what our future holds for We, the People, if the flood of immigrants is not drained from our country. Ask yourself if that is the life you want for your children and grandchildren.
