What difference does it make what bin Laden wanted? He was a nobody in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi government made it clear what they wanted. U.S. oil companies were invited to stay in Saudi Arabia and bin Laden lost his citizenship and was told to never return.
As for his escape from Tora Bora, if you think you can do a better job than our troops of capturing the evil one, then feel free at any time to haul your butt over there and do it. If you choose not to be a part of that solution, then stop being a part of that problem by ridiculing the job our brave troops are attempting to do.
