No, of course not. We will always need doctors but a computer can be more accurate in it's diagnosis than an individual Dr. It can save time and money for both the patient and the government, in health care. For example, my wife was ill for years until a Dr. finally pinpointed the problem (acid reflux). She suffered only because the host of Dr's before could not properly diagnose her problem, so accuracy would be a big factor.
Quality of life would improve. Think how much time is spent being unnecessarily ill due to misdiagnosis
To be treated one would have to go to a Dr. I think you missinterprited my meaning.
I still feel it would be a safer, more accurate, predictor than ones Dr. It could save lives in cases where time is of the essence.
We probably could reduce the number of Dr's also. |
Actually, I'd love to have a doctor like TV's Doctor House. 60 minutes from the first symptom to a cure. Even if its incurable. And strange. Doesn't matter.
The idea of some kind of master diagnosis computer is interesting. I'm sure there would be faster, more accurate diagnosis in the long run.
I've seen enough of Georges stuff to laugh at the hypocrisy some of his ideas present and sometimes just respond to them in that manner. Seems in Georges world, those in the health-care industry are not supposed to make money.
So I look at the uproar that would ensue if, say tomorrow, a plan was announced to replace ALL secretaries with computers. It would be just a "neo-con" attack on working people.
Imagine the screams if it was announced that pilots were no longer needed on planes. All computerized.
Sometimes I just like to play with the absurdity of it being Okey-dokey to replace one profession with computers while at the same time screaming how unfair it would be to replace another.
And, again, the original premise was to do away with Doctors.
