ONCE I HAD A SECRET LOVE ;-)

I used to play KISSY FACE with this little ARABIAN chick from the Geneseo college campus.

She had a reputation to protect and couldn't be seen by her fellow forieng exchange students.....CONSORTING with an American....so.......we used to meet at a mutual friends apartment on South St for our secret trysts

ANYHOOT......she had this other friend from Arabia who was a boy......not a boy friend......just somebody from her country..:-)

He was thin wisp of a boy with such serious dark brown eyes....and fancied himself an ARCHER :-).....( I can't remember his real name, and couldn't pronounce it if I could)....and he was perfectly happy with the nick name "A"RAB :-)

He had an Arabian made long bow....and made his own arrows....and back then I MADE MY OWN ARROWS........so we hit it off right away.

His english wasn't very good....but he was a good shot with that old bow.

I first took him Bow hunting for deer, with another friend of mine (Barry Bergeron) up in the Adirondaks in NY.

Barry had one of them tow along pop up Campers....and that night when we got our camp all set up......it started snowing.....tuned into a blizzard....the temperature dropped like a rock.....and by the time morning rolled around.....we were all freezing our asses off and HAD TA get up and go hunting, just ta keep moving so we didn't freeze to death.

A-rab was the only one to get a deer that day.....he didn't know how to gut it, or process it.....but he was an eager student :-)

BUT THIS ISN'T THE BEST STORY about hunting with ARAB.....The one where he burns down the cabin we were staying at at Cranberry Lake is the GOOD story
