At least that will be the Republican argument. As in, "as a percent of GDP, a $10,000,000,000,000 debt is manageable and sustainable. Reagan proved that deficits and debt do not matter."
Then they will spin the fact that the deficit and debt have not CAUSED the home mortgage crisis. A lot of Americans are paying a pretty big price to protect Israel from bogeymen.
