Everyone who's life that guy has touched, has nothing but good things to say about him. No one that knows him, has anything bad to say about him!
The only bad things being said about the guy, are comin' from either: his political opponent on the opposite side of the aisle, OR, his political opponent on the
same side of the aisle!
I really don't think it's gonna work, "smearing" the guy as a liberal elitist. People are gonna go, "so what?"

Lester P. Coltrane for President, and he'd probably win against any Republican. No United States citizen in their right minds (and there are still a
lot of us, believe me), is going to sit idly by while the President of the United States violates his Oath of Office and tramples on every single Constitutional Right he's supposed to protect. Nah, those Neo-Morons are
history, and all that means is, the rest of the Party is in shambles 'cause those guys were more-or-less "in charge". So now, the Reps are leader-less, and they're gonna have to re-build the coalition, and it'll take some time.
Meanwhile, it seems to me, the only real choice, is to try to choose the most palatable Democrat possible, and I don't know about you, but in my eyes, Obama is a heck of a lot more palatable than Hillary is.
(I'm a life-long Republican by the way, just to add context - but I'll be a monkey's uncle if I'm gonna let any of those Neo-Weasels anywhere the White House anymore, and I just don't know how many of those idiots are gonna come along with McCain, and I'm not willing to take the risk, so Obama's gettin' my vote, 'cause Hillary is just Bush in drag, as far as I can tell).
