How so? I'm not an atheist, I'm agnostic, but I always take responsibility for my personal choices and actions....

The Pope seemed to be addressing the fresh interest in atheism in the developed world with phrases such as: "Let us put it very simply: man needs God, otherwise he remains without hope."

I can choose to hope without believing in a god.

There could be a god, but there is no intrinsic need for one, at any level....
