I'm not a liberal merely because of the destructive nature of the ever devolving Republican Party... There are very real and very positive reasons which explain my effection for and dedication to progressive thought...
First and foremost I have never really believed that life is a series of blacks and whites, that things are all either all one way or the other... Perhaps it's because I like to study and analyze the issues and situations, but I came to a conclusion at an earl age that life oftens presents us with a series of gray areas, with subtleties and nuances for which black and white thinking are entirely inappropriate... I simply don't believe, and cringe when I hear comments such as "you are either with us or against us." And I want to regurgitate when I hear national leaders pigeon hole others and situations as either good and evil... Sorry, Badmutha, but life is never that simple...
Alright--so its settled--your a bleeding heart liberal--and by your writings I can see why. YOU LIVE IN THE GRAY--like all liberals--THERE IS NO SATISFYING YOU. Unfortuneately Fly--living in the gray gets nothing accomplished--the present democrat leadership is a good example. (Not that Im complaining--the less libs accomplish--the more freedoms and rights we still enjoy) Liberals love the grey zone--Bill's wife is a perfect example--she sits on both sides of the fence--caters and makes promises to all groups--all while the liberal media turns a blind eye to this impossibility.

Why can't liberals be leaders? Because leaders sometimes have to make quick decisions--under pressure--based on the best information they have. This same reasoning is why liberals are rarely business owners. Life is not simple--but eventually you have to make a decision--and liberals find this difficult.

So tell me Fly--since you hate conservatism--and love liberalism--tell me how the present day democrat party represents you better than than the republican party?
