A secure Iraq NOT ran by islamic extreamists that is an ally in the war on terror as well as an tradeing partner is well worth its weight in gold. You cant put a price on freedom or human life!

So let me be clear here Smitty. Are we safer, NO. The future looks pretty bleak because of the war in Iraq. It WILL hurt recruitment of future troops, we WILL be paying for it for YEARS, if not decades, we HAVE cut off people that were close allies, we HAVE ruined relationships with countries that may seem inconsequensial NOW, but we could use as allies in the future.
Put ALL of this together, stop thinking about just the here and now, and I truly believe that we are not making America safer (especially for the future).
