Good for you go right
Here is the entire problem. Kids need discipline people. It doesn't hurt them.
My oldest son is a teacher and he wrote his college thesis entitled.
" My Mom's Discipline Abuse Or Genius"
Reading the thing I was a little taken back, the kid never got near the spankings he seems to remember. And me taking the car keys , withholding allowances, tv , and phone privileges was made to sound like I was KGB instead of a mom who cared. But in the end he concluded that he was better off for the structure and clear rules that he understood and could live by.
Kids need rules and structure. All this AdHD could be handled with some old fashioned discipline.

My son was a rowdy one let me tell ya. I never encountered a teacher that didn't "suspect" him of having ADHD. They’d always ask if I'd like to have him tested and I'd always decline. I'd tighten down the buckles on him and request that they stay in constant contact with me regarding his behavior no matter how small the incident & we always got through it. He's 16 and fine now.
