The apostles warned against even harboring ill thoughts against another as it gives Satan a foothold.

Jesus warned that a man can sweep his house clean of demons and return home only to find it filled with many more.

We are told that Satan will rule this world till Christ's return.

So I agree Satan does not hold power over true christians , but he does over the fake ones who often don't even know they are working for Satan. just like the pharasees and saducees of Jesus day many false preachers support things that go directly against the teachings of Christ. You can be sure these are working for Satan , all be it unbeknown to them. And just like in the story of Job Satan can and does harm and tempt even followers of Christ. He cannot kill them but he sure can make life miserable for them.

Satan uses family curses to enslave people all the time in the way of poverty, drug and alcohol abuse and domestic violence and crimes against children of all kinds.

my only caution is that we Christians need to be warning the world of Satans influence and tactics not making misleading statements that he is not a problem any more. Because he is and will be until our Lord returns.
