Creating a nationally standardized curriculum. and ending the lowest common denominator administration of school by local school boards, many of which consist of members and leaders who themselves, never graduated high school, or attended college

End the “all or nothing” insanity of “no child left behind’ and come to the realization that not all students will excel in advanced courses, but can still achieve basic skills, geared for their ability and needs, through a multi tiered system. (Specialized trade and tech schools, remedial diplomas, etc)

Begin universal pre K at age 4

End “summer vacation”

Create pay scales based on standard market zones for those with a masters degree for teachers, to attract quality candidates.

Mandate ESL (English as a second language) classes for students that require it (face reality, we are a bi lingual, if not multi lingual nation)

Mandate SSL (Spanish as a second language) classes starting at grade 3 (see above)

Enact a title 9 style mandates for arts, social sciences and humanities above grade 8 which would also extend to private school students

Ban ‘Home schooling”

Students in private schools must pass a basic skills test admined by public schools

Make parents responsible for attendance, by penalty of law. (fines and possible termination of parental rights)
