Aren't deportation laws set up for those that are in a country LEGALLY?

She said she would help organize a rally in Tijuana that same day to demand Mexican authorities do more to protect migrants.

Why doesn't she organize a rally in Tijuana to demand the Mexican authorities do more to protect their citizens and help them out of poverty.

"For me it is very important that our government take a strong stand to defend all of us who decide to migrate to another country," she said.

Why doesn't she think it important that her government take a strong stand to defend her countrymen in their own country. Once they migrate here, LEGALLY, her "government" should be the US, and she should not expect anything from the Mexican government.
