Okay everyone, in light of the recent moves of the Bush Administration's NSPD15, and GW's host of additional Anti-Constitutional ploy's, moves and behaviors, one can say that the GWB's administration has done an incredible amount of damage to our democracy, our international reputation, our economy, and our environment. You would have to go back as far as Nixon to find an administration as corrupt, devious and anti-democratic.
The crucial difference, though, is that Bush has enjoyed Republican majority for 6 years of his 8 year term, and has allowed extremists in the party to hijack the nation for 8 years. I do think that Bush's most hardcore followers are exactly the kind of people who would uncritically support true fascism -- they are paranoid, prone to authoritarianism, and incapable of critical thinking.
I found an interesting article on 14 points of Fascism and its comparisons with the Behavior of the Bush Administration over the past 6.5 years. The 14 Points of Fascism has been around for awhile and is not new by any means, but what I found interesting is how these 14 points of fascism is compared with the laws, legislation, policies, and behavior of the current Administration!
