Both get on their political platforms, and give bullshit "cum by yaw" speeches, and to make matters worse, Obama "over kills" his religious convictions every single time he speaks. He acts like if he doesn't strongly embrace religion, that somehow it will escape him, and then he can't be president. Now, there's absolutely nothing wrong with being into religion-I am-however, when you are running for president, religion can be seen as a tool that the politician uses to hide behind, and cover-up their own personal faults and political weaknesses. Rudy Giuliano flip-flops on the abortion issue, and pretends to embrace the homosexual agenda whole heartedly-he appears to be a suttle misogynist who will turn on women if he is elected. Giuliano is speaking out of the side of his mouth much double speak. And, John Edwards is all about his $400 hair cut, and catering to peoples' emotions-he should just stick to lower level politics, and not seek to be president-especially after the first poor performance run that he and John Kerry attempted. It was really quit pathetic to say the least. And, Romney is such a freaking joke-and a phoney, too. John McCain is almost clueless on the status of the war in Iraq, and is too gun and war happy. The American people don't need another G.W. Bush for our next president, and John McCain has too much of Bush's hegemonic ideologies. I'm looking at Fred Thompson, because he hasn't said much, and seems to be a strong contender-however, I'll probably be voting "independent" again this time around, too.

Mindcrew, the politicians only behave and govern as far as the voters allow them to get away with!
The problem here, btwn civics (no longer taught in Jr. High and H.S.)ignorance and disinterest on behalf of the younger voters between the ages of 18-23, the pessimism of voters age 25-35 not believing their vote makes a difference--so they just don't vote at all, to the voters 40 yrs and older of whom allow the power and impact of their votes to become splintered over Wedge Issues.
Lastly, both conservatives and Democrats btwn the incomes of 20K - 100K do not fund and recruit their candidates the same way the lobbyist, corporations, wealthy elitist and Bankers do.
The incumbent politicians of both parties only pander to every day voters who earn 20K - 100K; b/c we don't send them enough money to get re-elected as a result, these incumbents will pass laws and legislation which benefits the people who spent millions to them re-elected! Thats the reality of American politics.
I don't know why this is so hard to understand and comprehend. We the People, including members here at AWE need to stop complaining, bitching-n-and moaning about the current crop of politicians in congress and running for the W.H. Why complain about the RAT INFESTATION in our Govt and in our politics, when "We The People" let the rats into our political system in the FIRST PLACE!
