My mother told me, when I was about ten years old, to NEVER eat produce from Mexico because some of the growers there fertilize their fields with human waste and this can cause disease. I try to find out where all my food comes from and I still shy away from Mexican produce and so far I have never gotten sick. I have been to Mexico several times but I never ate a meal there----if I can't get back to the USA in time for supper I ain't going! I never drank their friggin water and never ate their friggin food.
