I am no fan of hospitals and how they treat children, or anyone for that matter, who either have no insurance or are on medicare/medicaid. We've had our own nightmares with that system and our daughter since my insurance no longer carries her.
But, I think there may be a lot of other variables involved here that these studies do not take into consideration. For instance: What is the ratio of parents of children without insurance being charged with neglect and/or abuse compared to those parents whose children had insurance? This is just one of many variables that really have nothing to do with having or not having insurance but are more related to the invironment of the children in question.
