I agree with you. Most of the current problems with food borne diseases are created by human conditions. Forty years ago when animals were free to graze and eat their natural diet these problems were few and far between. For example when they began feeding cows who are plant grazers gound bone meal we ended up with madcow. When we put 10,000 in a small enclosed area and they stomp in their own feces and we grind it up and eat it we end up with strains of E.coli food poisening that are lifethreatening. Besides being cruel to the animals it has threatened human safety as well. Your example sited about the chickens is exactly correct. Most people are unaware of these issues. The term used is feedlots and most meat we consume if from these conditions. there are companies that do not do this One is Lauras beef and in grocery stores now you can find eggs from free range chickens.
