Actually they have quite a few resources but the instability is so great it's not beneficial to invest there. For example, Shell was drilling for oil there but some rebels caused there operation down. Do a search on this if you want, it was pretty recent.
Africa has too many problems, we would have to have a very large military presence to be effective there. The thing that sucks is that you can give all you want but those supplies are still going to get manipulated by the BS rebels and corrupt g-ments. The UN needs to get involved with a gobal effort, not U.S., but all countries becuz this is a serious humanitarian issue. I'm not talking about the UN sending a few thousand peace keepers and holding them back, they need to take serious action (i.e. 1st Gulf War). It is sad, I can't believe the world can turn a blind eye to this. I hate to say it but I actually agree with George Clooney..
