What is a Christian? Someone who follows someone else's construct? Or is it following the heart of shared humanity. Accepting a Savior is just the beginning, what do you do in a post saved environment? I say you listen to the obvious. If the least among us has his eyes staring in your soul than I look back & say,
I see.
The cynicism of this post is a an observation of Africa....
Look at the beauty & frailty of the Masai warriors.
Look at the beauty & frailty of the Animals on the plains....of the Mara.
Look at the beauty & frailty of the human beings living in squaller, the new safari.
Look how we have to go over there to see this suffering.
Look how we condemn & judge in our own house, the U.S. in one of our rooms New Orleans, how they somehow deserve it because they are decadent, they are poor, they are democrat, they are ....pigmented.
Yet nowhere have I heard they are my brother & my brother is my keeper & how I treat Him is how I treat myself.
Lets just go on a safari in the new tour, the Slums....over there.

I'll try to reply in the least confusing way, given my limited tech. abilities.
"Shared humanity" is good.
"If the least among us has his eyes staring in your soul then I look back and say, I see."
Yes, Crow, and you nod at each o ther and walk on, and both your hearts soar with recognition. When souls meet, the trappings drop away.
"Look how we condemn and judge in our own house."
The mere act of judging others has been so condemned in our culture, that our values have become disconnected. Judging is mandatory if we wish to determine right from wrong, good from bad . It also allows us to see how right and wrong works on a people as a whole. An example would be the corruption visited on this country since Bush came to power, and how his corrupt, sidestepping-of - laws and long held foreign policies, his lies, his invasion of an autonimous country, etc. have opened the door for easy access to a corrosive, unethical element in our society. Because of this pc or christian idea of don't judge, which imlies don't see, don't think about it, no one questioned what was happening until we got tired of paying the bills and burying the dead.
"...they are my brother and my brother is my keeper and how I treat him is how I treat myself"
Yes, good words, but words are cheap. To influence others, you must walk-the-walk. People will see, and try to follow.
We are the most flawed of species. Makes one wonder our purpose here, and then of course, God is created (I do believe) with a great deal of convoluted rational.
