I grew up in MI, lived in Lawton, OK, Watertown, NY, Columbia, SC, Seattle, WA, Williamsburg and Charlottesville, VA, and Savannah, GA and now AZ and never once heard or have seen a cone head. Rural? It's not a bad word.
